SUSTAINABILITY FOR WPR

WPR was founded in 1999 as a manufacturer of profile and panel coating machinery. Its foresight and technical expertise led it to develop increasingly advanced technologies to meet the needs of customers all over the world. Today, as a matter of fact, WPR is active in more than 25 countries, spread over 5 continents. WPR also boasts a strong partnership and synergy with TAKA. This means not only having know-how that integrates all aspects of the coating process, but also being able to define a shared sustainability path between the two companies in line with the Sustainable Development Goals contained in the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

Sustainability is an integral part of WPR’s DNA. For this reason, the dimension of environmental sustainability and social responsibility has been incorporated into processes and product manufacturing.

In fact, the new generation of coating machines, as well as possessing technical features that raise their quality standards, guarantees, thanks to an advanced process supervision system:

• a reduction in energy and resource consumption
• the highest level of safety for the operators using these resources

Sustainability has become an even more evident commitment thanks to the foundation of an internal strategy committee that analyses all processes (considering employees, customers, and suppliers) focusing on the study of:

• energy consumption to progressively reduce greenhouse gas emissions
• the selection of raw material suppliers, favouring local ones
• waste management by increasingly focusing on resource recycling and recovery
• initiatives for employees in terms of training, welfare, and gender equality
• systems guaranteeing the privacy and security of company data

Below is a roadmap of WPR’s sustainable strategy.

Since 2022, WPR has decided to draw up the ESG report to publicly share results in terms of: environment, people and governance.

It is not just about compliance, WPR has always placed importance on relationships and the transparent communication of information on environmental, social and governance issues strengthens relationships with partners and employees even more.

The ESG sustainability report will be produced by WPR every year to measure all actions taken and the deriving main results.
